Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 lb hot breakfast sausage, uncooked
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 8oz block of cream cheese, softened
- 1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix (sub Bisquick)
- 1 (10oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies, drained
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked breakfast sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix (or Bisquick), and the drained Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies.
- Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly until well combined. It might be easier to use your hands to ensure everything is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Once the mixture is thoroughly combined, start forming small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure there’s some space between each ball for even baking.
- Bake the sausage balls in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they turn golden brown and are fully cooked through.
- Remove the sausage balls from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
These Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls are great as appetizers or party snacks. Serve them warm with your preferred dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or a spicy mayo dip, for a delicious treat!
